Built by builders
Gustavo Felipe Beltra
Founder, Beltra Industries LLC
Gustavo Felipe Beltra is based in the United States and founded Beltra Industries to build software that earns its place in the real world. Raised overseas in a military family, he was shaped by his father’s pragmatism and his mother’s creativity. Both instilled a simple principle: if you can help, help; if you can solve it, solve it.
He trained as an engineer, with a B.S. in Engineering Technology and a minor in Mathematics, and approaches software the way engineers approach a system: understand the whole, then decide what actually needs to change. What interests him most is finding the right problems to solve. He believes a clear understanding of the problem is the starting point for useful software.
That approach runs through the Beltra catalog: TAB for people who run restaurants, Yapr for anyone who needs to be understood in a language that isn’t their own, and Kinly for people who want their devices to simply do what they ask. His applied-ML work includes anomaly detection and an ASL-to-speech model. Each project starts with a practical problem and the people who need it solved.
